Shimano Aero X7 Precision Feeder 13ft 110g The Pinnacle of Match Performance

Experience the absolute peak of rod engineering with the Shimano Aero X7 Precision Feeder. At Gerrys Fishing, we recognize this as one of the most advanced feeder rods ever produced. It isnt just a tool; its a high-performance instrument designed for the serious match and specimen angler who demands perfection in casting accuracy and fish-playing control.

The 13ft Precision model utilizes Shimanos elite High Modulus Full Carbon + HPC + Nanosheet technology. This creates a blank that is incredibly slim and lightweight, yet possesses a stiff lower half that acts as a powerhouse for hitting long-range targets with surgical precision. Unlike standard rods that can feel floppy at 13ft, the Aero X7 remains crisp, recovering instantly after a cast to ensure your feeder lands on the money every single time.

Finished with top-tier Fuji Alconite K-Type guides and a bespoke Power Cork handle, this rod is designed to handle everything from skimmers at distance to hard-fighting river barbel and reservoir carp.

Where to Use the Aero X7 Precision 13ft

The Precision designation in this length makes it the ultimate choice for medium-to-long range feeder work where accuracy is as important as distance.

• Large Reservoirs & Stillwaters: When you need to hit a spot at 60m80m consistently. The 110g casting weight allows you to use large window or hybrid feeders filled with bait, while the sensitive carbon tips ensure you see every tiny indication from distance-shy Bream.

• Powerful River Systems: Perfect for rivers like the Severn or the Trent when targeting Bream or Chub in a steady flow. The 13ft length helps keep your line out of the near-bank marginal flow, while the 110g rating handles heavy cage feeders with ease.

• Commercial Winter Carping: Despite its power, the Precision taper ensures the tip remains forgiving. This is vital when using smaller hooks and lighter hooklengths for winter Carp, as it cushions the lunges under the rod tip to prevent hook pulls.

Gerrys Pro Tip: The new advanced tapers on the included Aero X carbon quivertips are a game-changer. They blend seamlessly into the carrier section, removing the flat spot often found in heavy-duty feeder rods. This results in a perfect parabolic curve when playing large fish.
