As the lure’s name implies, the Gambler Heavy Cover Southern Swim Jig is a skirted bass jig designed to be thrown in the heaviest cover you could imagine, like much of the vegetation you find in lakes and ponds in the South. The jig’s beefed up weedguard comes through all types of grass, brush, and wood without even blinking; simply put, this jig goes where others can’t. Built with the same heavy wire hook of Gambler’s popular Southern Swim Jig, this is the hook you’ll be endlessly grateful for when you hook a giant.

3D painted eyes have been added to the Heavy Cover Southern Swim Jig as well for increased realism. All of Gambler’s Heavy Cover Southern Swim Jigs feature their Starflash round rubber skirts, which have tremendous action when retrieved and add loads of flash too. Just add your favorite paddle tail swimbait, grub, or soft jerkbait and you’ve got a killer heavy-cover presentation.
