Fox Frontier II Bivvy

The original Frontier changed the game, but the Fox Frontier II has perfected it. At Gerrys Fishing, weve seen plenty of fast-erect shelters, but nothing matches the speed, stability, and sheer technical brilliance of the Frontier II. This isnt just a minor update; Fox has overhauled the mechanical heart of the bivvy, making it smoother to set up, more protective, and packed with features that previously had to be bought as extras.

Constructed from the industry-leading 20,000mm VenTec fabric with a blackout laminate lining, this bivvy offers the ultimate protection against the elements while keeping the interior pitch-black and cool, even in direct summer sunlight.

Whats New for the Frontier II?

• Geared ETS Boss: The Easy Tension System (ETS) now features a geared mechanism that prevents the frame from collapsing during setup. Its smoother, faster, and features a refined release trigger for effortless pack-down.

• Sprung-Loaded Keyed Elbows: New ergonomic grips on the joints ensure a faster, snap-into-place setup without the faff.

• Enhanced Ventilation: Now features four all-weather vents, all accessible from the inside. You can adjust your airflow in the middle of a rainstorm without stepping outside.

• Zip-In Groundsheet: For the first time, the groundsheet zips directly into the fabric, providing a total seal against bugs, rodents, and water.

• Vapour Peak Included: No need to buy it separately anymorethe Vapour Peak is now supplied as standard, reducing condensation and creating a porch area.

Where to Use the Fox Frontier II

This is the ultimate one-person shelter for the serious carp angler:

• High-Intensity UK Sessions: The high, flat back design means you can push your bedchair right to the rear, giving you massive usable internal space for carryalls and a guest chair.

• Summer Blackout Stays: The laminate lining is a lifesaver for those who want to sleep during the day or stay cool when the sun is beating down on the bank.

• Tight, Narrow Pegs: The compact footprint (250 x 185cm) allows you to squeeze this into tight swims where traditional pram-hood bivvies struggle to fit.

• Inclement Weather: With its 20,000mm waterproof rating and storm pole cam-locks, this bivvy is built to withstand the worst End of the World storms the UK can throw at it.

Gerrys Pro Tip: The addition of the zip-in groundsheet is the biggest win here. It makes the bivvy much more homey and keeps the drafts out. We also love that the Vapour Peak is now in the boxit cuts down condensation significantly on those cold, damp autumn mornings. This is the last bivvy youll ever need to buy.
