Megabass Kiss Spindle 4 Super 10cm | 8g: The Precision Finesse Shad

The Megabass Spindle Worm 4 Super is the refined, compact version of the famous Spindle family. At Gerrys Fishing, we consider the 10cm (4-inch) model to be the ultimate finesse shad. It carries the same sophisticated engineering as its larger siblingsmimicking the seductive, rolling wobble of a premium hard swimbaitbut in a profile that is perfect for targeting pressured fish or matching smaller forage.

At 10cm and 8g, this lure is a powerhouse for UK and European lure anglers. It is large enough to be a substantial meal for a specimen Perch or Zander, yet sleek enough to be fished on light-action rods for maximum sensitivity.

Engineering & Dynamic Action

• High-Mobility Super Design: The Super designation highlights the enhanced suppleness of the material. The unique spindle shapea thick head tapering into a thin mid-section before expanding into a paddle tailcreates a secondary body roll that vibrates the entire lure, not just the tail.

• Low-Speed Responsiveness: Because of its 8g weight and specialized mineral-impregnated material, the 4 Spindle starts working at the slowest possible speeds. This is vital when fishing in cold water or when predators are being lethargic.

• VIOS Mineral Plastic: This material is famous for being incredibly stretchy and soft. It provides a natural mouthfeel, encouraging predators to hold on longer, giving you a wider window to set the hook.

• Scent Infusion: Each lure is infused with a potent scent, adding a chemical attraction to its already impressive visual and mechanical performance.

Tactical Applications

The 8g Spindle 4 Super is a versatile tool for technical presentations. The Gerrys team suggests:

• Linear Finesse Jigging: Pair this with a 5g10g jig head. The 10cm profile is the perfect imitation of a small roach or bleak. This is a deadly setup for Zander and Perch in canals and rivers.

• Snag-Free Exploration (Texas/Carolina): Use a size 2/0 or 3/0 offset hook. The slim profile of the Spindle 4 allows it to slip through gnarly structure like sunken tree branches and thick lily pads where big predators lie in ambush.

• Vertical Drop-Shotting: While usually used as a shad, the high mobility of the Spindle 4 makes it an excellent oversized drop-shot bait for trophy Perch. The tail will flutter with the slightest rod movement.

• Weightless Surface Twitching: In very shallow water, fish it on a weightless offset hook. The 8g density allows for decent casting, while the swimbait-style wobble creates a subtle wake that is irresistible to Bass in calm, clear conditions.

Gerrys Verdict:

The Megabass Spindle 4 Super (10cm/8g) is a masterclass in downsizing without sacrificing action. It provides a premium swimbait presence in a finesse package. If you are fishing in venues where the predators are keyed into smaller baitfish, or if the water is clear and pressured, the 4-inch Spindle is often the key to success
