OPST Commando Heads (Floating) Ultra-short Skagit heads for effortless casting versatility.

The OPST Commando Heads (Floating) are a revolutionary take on Skagit-style fly lines, designed by Ed Ward to maximize performance and versatility. With their ultra-short length, these heads deliver an effortless casting experience, even in tight quarters, high winds, or when fishing bulky flies. Perfect for both single- and double-handed rods, Commando Heads allow anglers to roll cast, underhand, overhead, or Skagit cast with ease, making them some of the most versatile lines on the market. Available in grain weights from 150475, they cover everything from 7’6″ 3-weights to 14′ 9-weights. The short, powerful design makes fishing large streamers possible on lighter rods, turning even a 4- or 5-weight into a highly capable streamer tool. Whether targeting trout, bass, steelhead, or salmon, OPST Commando Heads deliver unmatched adaptability and enjoyment, taking your casting and fishing to the next level.
