This is the best and most all-round shooting head for Danish salmon. This is the head we use most for Skjern, Storen, Ribe, Kongeen and all other Danish salmon rivers. Perfect for most situations combined with a replacement tip in S3 S6 or S8 and you can cover an incredible number of conditions and watercourses.

400-550 grains are 7.0 meters long.
550-725 grains are 7.3 meters long.

If we were to choose only one head, it would be this!

RIO’s Elite GameChanger body is the perfect delivery system for long, tapered sinking tips, for getting flies down into the water column and lines under variable surface currents. The Spey body features RIO’s Multi Density Control – a seamless blend of three different densities that ensures the smoothest transition of energy when casting and the very best depth control when fishing. Say goodbye to hinges, weak casts and poor turnover with these sinking spey bodies. They’re all built with SlickCast technology and ConnectCore Plus with ultra-low stretch for maximum sensitivity and performance.

With the GameChanger body, the multiple density options give the angler total control over fishing depth, ensuring a straighter line down to the fly and reducing the typical drop in single density lines. The F/H/I variant is great with an intermediate type 3 tip and swings beautifully between 2 and 4 feet. The F/I/S3 is ideal for adding type 3 and type 6 tips and good for swinging between 4 and 8 feet down, along with an F/S3/S5 for swinging 8 to 12 feet down.

New this season, there is the option to sink all the way down with an intermediate I/S2/S3 and the fastest sinking, bottom-drying S3/S5/S7 as the best choice for getting the slowest, deepest turn.
