Built to handle everything from technical trout water to hard-running saltwater species, the Sage SHIFT 5/6 is a true do-it-all fly reel. Whether you’re chasing coastal cutthroat, swinging rivers for steelhead, or stepping into light saltwater applications, the SHIFT is engineered to perform.

At the heart of the reel is Sages proprietary Sealed Carbon System (SCS) Drag, upgraded with an improved seal system and tuned specifically for the 5/6 weight platform. The intuitive one-revolution drag knob makes adjustments quick and precise, delivering consistent, repeatable drag pressure when it matters most.

Fully machined from 6061 aluminum, the SHIFT blends narrow spool width with a large arbor design for clean line stacking and ultra-fast line pickup. The concave spool surface enhances backing capacity while promoting smooth, drag-assisted performance under load. Lightweight yet powerful, the SHIFT carries the technology and reliability youd expect from higher-end Sage reels without the premium price tag.

Finished in Platinum & Black, this reel pairs cleanly with a wide range of rod builds.
