CORROSION – RESISTANT ALUMINUM CONSTRUCTION

GW reel bodies and side covers are precision die-cast from a special corrosion-resistant aluminum, then anodized and painted in a multi-step process for maximum protection against saltwater damage.

RIGID ROTOR DESIGN

Rotor materials and designs are optimized by model to eliminate flex and maximize performance. 2500, 3000, and 4000 models feature strong and lightweight carbon polymer rotors, while 5000 and 6000 rotors are diecast aluminum to withstand the forces of heavier drag settings with heavier lines.

SEALED CARBON FIBER / ALUMINUM DRAG

Designed for a smooth and reliable angler experience from startup to lockdown, GWs drag stack is sealed to prevent performance-robbing saltwater intrusion. Multiple carbon fiber and aluminum washers are nearly impervious to wear and deliver extreme stopping power with maximum adjustability and heat dissipation.
