Shimano Aero Pro Shallow Match Top Kit 2.50m 2pc Grey Elite Stealth Precision

The Shimano Aero Pro Shallow Match Top Kit in Grey is a high-performance specialist tool designed for the elite match angler. At Gerrys Fishing, we find this kit indispensable when targeting silverfish and F1s in the upper layers of the water column. The matte grey finish serves a critical tactical purpose: it acts as a stealth camouflage against the sky, drastically reducing the shadow and silhouette that often spook wary fish in clear or shallow water.

Crafted from the highest-grade Japanese carbon found in the flagship Aero Pro series, this Match version is significantly lighter than the Power variant. This reduces tip oscillation, allowing for lightning-fast strikes and a perfectly balanced pole at long lengths. It comes pre-bushed with a 3.8mm internal PTFE bush, making it ideal for the lighter elastics required for finesse fishing.

Performance Advantages

• Stealth Technology: The matte grey finish is specifically designed to eliminate the black line effect against the sky. This is vital when fishing shallow or slapping in clear water, as it allows you to get closer to the fish without triggering their flight response.

• Pro-Grade Rigidity: Because it utilizes the premier carbon from the Aero Pro development program, this kit is incredibly stiff. This ensures that every ounce of energy from your strike is transferred directly to the hook, which is essential when speed-fishing for F1s.

• Uniform Aero Length: Measuring exactly 2.50m, this kit matches the length of the standard Power and Match kits. This allows you to swap between different kit types without ever having to re-adjust your rig length or depth settings.

• Refined Finish: Features the Ultra Sound Finish for smooth shipping and the Aero Alignment System to ensure the spine of the carbon is perfectly oriented for maximum strength and stiffness.

Gerrys Pro Tip: This is the perfect kit for speed-work. Pair it with a No. 6 or No. 8 hybrid elastic. The 3.8mm bush provides a snug but smooth fit for thinner elastics, ensuring they retract instantlycritical when you are trying to build a big weight of silverfish or F1s quickly.
