Shimano Sienna Spinning 1.80m (3-15g) | Classic Cork Edition

At Gerrys Fishing, we know that some of the most rewarding sessions happen when you scale back and go light. The Shimano Sienna Spinning Cork edition offers a traditional aesthetic paired with modern performance. Designed as the perfect technical partner for the famous Sienna reel, this 1.80m (511) rod is the ultimate entry-level tool for finesse fishing on a budget.

Built with a Full Carbon blank, this rod is incredibly lightweighing in at just 93g. Its shorter length and light power rating make it the perfect choice for younger anglers, beginners, or seasoned pros who need a compact rod for bush-whacking along small streams and canals.

Classic Style, Modern Performance

• Full Carbon Construction: Unlike heavy composite or glass rods, the Siennas full carbon blank is responsive and crisp. This ensures you can feel the vibration of your lure and the subtle plucks from curious fish.

• Traditional Cork Split-Grip: This model features high-quality cork handles, providing a warm, natural feel and a classic look that many lure specialists prefer. Cork also offers superior grip when your hands are wet.

• Forgiving Moderate-Fast Action: Perfect for those honing their casting technique, this action loads easily and provides a smooth, progressive curve that cushions the fight, preventing hook-pulls on smaller predators.

• Shimano Hardlite Guides: Equipped with durable stainless steel frames and aluminum oxide liners, these guides are ready for both monofilament and modern braided lines.

Use Example: Small Stream & Brook Exploration

Imagine youre stalking a tiny, overgrown stream or a narrow urban canal. Youre using a size 1 silver spinner or a 2-inch soft plastic jig, targeting Perch or small Trout hiding behind rocks and weed beds.

The 1.80m length is a massive advantage here, allowing you to make accurate flick casts in tight spaces where a longer rod would simply snag on the branches above. Because the rod is so sensitive, you can feel the blade of your spinner thumping, letting you know its working perfectly. When a fish hits, the Moderate-Fast action ensures the hook sets firmly without snapping light lines, making every catch an absolute thrill.
