Shimano STC AX Spinning Mini Tele (1.80m | 7-21g)

The Shimano STC (Shimano Travel Concept) Mini Telespin is a masterclass in portable rod engineering. Designed for the nomadic angler, this rod eliminates the burden of bulky gear without sacrificing the feel of a high-quality spinning rod.

At 1.80m, this is the most agile model in the series. By utilizing a separate handle design, the 10-piece telescopic construction collapses down to a incredibly small transport length, easily fitting into a small rucksack, a bike pannier, or even a glove box. Built with Full Carbon + Nanosheet technology, the blank remains crisp, lightweight, and highly responsive, defying the traditional limitations of telescopic rods.

Where to Use: Ideal Scenarios

With its short 1.80m (approx. 6ft) length and a versatile 7-21g casting weight, this rod excels in combat fishing and confined environments:

• Overgrown Riverbanks: Its short length makes it the ultimate tool for navigating small, tree-lined rivers and streams where longer rods would snag on branches.

• Precision Casting: Perfect for searching under bridges, around lock gates, or near submerged structures in urban canals for Perch and Pike.

• Kayak & Float Tube Fishing: The compact size is ideal for anglers fishing from small watercraft where space is at a premium and a short rod is needed for landing fish close to the hull.

• Urban Exploration: The ultimate stealth rod for city anglers. It can be carried discreetly on public transport and set up in seconds for a quick session after work.
