Shimano Twin Power XD 4000 HG: The Versatile Inshore Powerhouse

The Shimano Twin Power XD 4000 HG is a technical masterpiece within the Magnumlite series. Designed for anglers who refuse to choose between sensitivity and ruggedness, it balances a remarkably lightweight 245g frame with Xtreme Durability (XD) engineering. This reel is the definitive choice for the dedicated lure angler targeting sea bass, large trout, or pike in challenging environments. With its refined HG retrieve and the inclusion of flagship Infinity technologies, the Twin Power XD 4000 HG provides a sublime fishing experience where precision and raw power coexist.

Elite Infinity Technology Suite

The Twin Power XD FB is elevated by three exclusive flagship technologies that ensure peak performance under the most grueling conditions:

• InfinityXross: This technology increases the durability of the gear teeth by distributing the load over a wider surface area. This ensures the reel maintains its silky-smooth, out-of-the-box meshing even after years of heavy saltwater use.

• InfinityDrive: By removing sliding resistance from the main shaft, InfinityDrive provides a massive boost in winding torque. Youll feel the difference when a powerful fish dives for coverthe reel remains light to turn even under extreme pressure.

• InfinityLoop: An ultra-slow spool oscillation system that ensures the line is laid in perfectly parallel wraps. This drastically reduces friction during the cast, allowing you to hit the extra distance needed to reach feeding fish at range.

The 4000 HG Profile: Balanced Performance

• The Sweet Spot Gear Ratio: The 5.8:1 gear ratio retrieves 87cm of line per crank. This offers the perfect balancefast enough to pick up slack line and work active lures, yet with more feel and torque than the ultra-fast XG models.

• MGL Rotor: The ultra-lightweight Magnumlite rotor ensures a low-inertia start-up. This allows for instant-on lure manipulation and provides the sensitivity to detect the most subtle changes in lure action or the softest of takes.

• Anti-Twist Fin: A specialized elastic fin that manages line tension as it enters the spool. This virtually eliminates wind knots and loops, which is a critical advantage when using thin braids in windy coastal conditions.

Ruggedized Construction & Protection

• HAGANE Body & Gear: The cold-forged aluminum body provides a rigid, flex-free housing for the internal gears, ensuring that every bit of power from the handle is translated directly into the fight.

• X-Protect: Using a labyrinth structure and water-repellent coating, X-Protect keeps saltwater and debris out of the internal mechanisms without compromising the reels effortless rotation.

• Duracross Drag: Offers 10 times the durability of standard drag washers. The 11kg of max drag is incredibly smooth, providing the relentless stopping power needed for the wildest, unpredictable beasts.
