The South Westerly Moon Chair is engineered for rapid deployment.3 Its clever folding frame mechanism allows it to be set up or packed away in seconds, while the integrated pack-away Velcro straps ensure the frame stays tightly compressed for transport.4 Despite its generous seating area, the use of lightweight aluminum ensures the chair remains easy to carry to the most remote swims.

Key Performance Features

• Ergonomic Moon Design: The curved, circular shape naturally conforms to your body, providing total lumbar and side support. This design is particularly effective at blocking cold winds from reaching your back and sides.

• Luxurious Padded Upholstery: The thick, high-density foam padding provides exceptional comfort and thermal insulation, keeping you warm even during cold winter nights.

• Solar UnderCover Camo: Finished in Solars signature digital camouflage pattern, ensuring your setup remains discreet on the bank while looking modern and professional.

• Aluminum Frame Construction: By using aluminum instead of traditional steel, Solar has managed to keep the weight down to just 5.3kg without sacrificing the structural integrity required for larger anglers.

• Rapid Setup Mechanism: The accordion-style frame opens instantly. There are no locking pins or complex legs to adjustsimply unfold and you are ready to fish.

• Secure Pack-Down: The addition of Velcro compression straps on the frame is a small but vital detail, preventing the chair from springing open while you are trying to slide it into its carry bag.

Why the South Westerly Moon Chair is Essential

This chair is the definitive choice for the comfort-conscious angler:

• Session Versatility: It is equally at home inside a large bivvy as it is on the bank for a day session, providing a sofa-like feel that makes waiting for a bite much more enjoyable.

• Warmth & Protection: Unlike standard chairs with open sides, the Moon Chairs solid padded walls retain body heat and act as a windbreak.

• Compact Storage: Because it folds into a cylindrical shape rather than a large flat square, it is often much easier to fit into small car boots or pack alongside a bedchair on a barrow.
