Traditional BWO Dry A classic pattern for selective trout.

The Traditional BWO Dry is a go-to fly for imitating Blue Wing Olive mayflies, one of the most common and reliable hatches on trout streams. Its slim profile, natural colors, and upright wing closely match the adult mayfly, making it deadly on selective fish during BWO hatches. Designed to ride high on the surface, this fly offers excellent visibility and floatation, even in riffled water. Effective throughout the season in rivers, creeks, and stillwaters, the Traditional BWO Dry remains a must-carry pattern for every anglers box. A minimum quantity of 2 flies of the same size has been set for this item due to the staff time and labour it takes to fulfill fly orders. In our experience it’s always nice to have a spare if you happen to lose one on a rock or tree branch too!
