The Maboroshi is Yamai Suteki’s heavy guage (not massive guage) hook series. These are rigged on short assist cord with a welded / press ring and the tag end is finished cleanly with red shrink tubing.

Engineered for plugging applications, the Yamai Suteki MAP-1 features a single Maboroshi assist hook design that delivers reliable hook-up rates on hard-fighting gamefish. The premium construction and sharp point ensure solid penetration on strike, while the assist hook configuration provides backup coverage for missed opportunities. Built to withstand aggressive retrieves and powerful runs, this hook is an essential upgrade for anglers targeting trophy-class fish with plugs and topwater lures.
